Co-Producers Karen Sabo and Derek Davidson are pleased and excited to be taking Derek’s newest play, Bumbershoot, to the New York International Fringe Festival. In August 2012, we will perform in a yet-undisclosed theatre in lower Manhattan. Bumbershoot, a neo-noir amalgam of dark and really dark, weirdo-humor and sudden violence, offers up a meditation on just how banal the banality of evil can be, on how good people—or ordinary, not-so-good people—can do very, very bad things, and how the culture of fear can mold folks into the opposite of themselves, into the very thing they most fear.
We need your help to make this project happen! It will take a little over $12,000 to get this show to New York City, and we ask for your financial support at whatever level you can give.
